In order to prune your floribunda roses, in the spring, you will need the following: pruning shears/clippers. Closely examine the bush. Trim away the top growth. These should be really big cuts, because you want to streamline it to the sturdiest branches. It should look bare and sparse in its branching. Typically, you are going to be reducing it down to 4 or 5 branches. The wood should be white, when it is exposed through clipping. This is also the time, when you should consider the size of the area. If it is over growing, then you should be pulling it back a lot.
