How to Easily Prune Larger Branches on Trees

This video will show you how simple it is to prune large branches on trees.

Step #1

Make an under cut (on the bottom side of the branch) about 2 inches out from the trunk. Cut about 1/4 of the way through the branch.

Step #2

Cut about 2 inches farther away from the first cut.

Step #3

Cut flush with the collar. The collar is the ring around the point where the branch meets the trunk.
